on flickr.com, someone wrote a program to blend images posted by different people on the site which all have a keyword in common. the program apparently selects fifty images at random on the website that have a common keyword (such as 'candle', for instance) and blends them together to show what it looks like when "50 people see a candle".

the resulting images, i feel, are amazing, and i get the impression that there's something of a deeply cosmic and archetypal reflection revealed here about how humanity as a whole views certain concepts (such as the candle).

of the dozen or so keywords chosen, here are a couple: the sunset, a flower, the eye, my own shadow, the seasons (individually), sadness, happiness, etc.

check them out for yourself here. i found these images to be truly inspiring and also emotionally moving, as i realized that i was looking at such commonplace aspects of humanity portrayed like in no way i have seen before. definitely worth looking at!
