this image was made using an mp-3 industrial reproduction camera, normally used for making archival copies of paintings or artifacts. the camera, using 4x5 film, is situated on a vertical column and points downward to its base, upon which the subject is placed to be photographed. it looks very much like an oversized enlarger, and it performs an opposite, reciprocal function to that of an enlarger.
